PACT Charter School is seeking parents to serve on the District Advisory Committee (DAC). DAC brings together parents, faculty, staff, students, and community members to help guide school planning and strengthen student achievement.
DAC members help:
- Review curriculum and instructional practices
- Examine student achievement data
- Provide input on academic plans and goals
- Recommend resources that support high-quality instruction
Members serve a two-school-year term and attend five meetings each year in September, November, January, March, and April.

PACT is seeking collaborative parents and guardians to serve on our English Language Arts and World Language Curriculum Review Teams. Team members will partner with educators to review curriculum and help ensure rigorous, meaningful learning experiences for all students.
Meeting Schedule

English Language Arts: October 5 and March 1, 8:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.

World Language: October 23 and March 19, 8:00–11:30 a.m.
- Two additional meetings for each team will be scheduled during the 2027–2028 school year.

Secondary and Online students are issued 1:1 Chromebooks, while Elementary students use them in the classroom and cannot take them home. If a Chromebook is lost or damaged, whether at school or at home, parents are required to cover the cost.
To help with costs, PACT offers optional Chromebook Insurance at $30 per student or $50 per family for the first repair, and additional costs for the second repair. Insurance does not cover repairs beyond that.
We highly recommend insurance, as repair costs can run into the hundreds of dollars.
If you are interested in Chromebook Insurance, email helpdesk@pactcharter.org and provide your name, the student's name, and the student ID# (if known). You will be invoiced through ParentSquare.

We DID meet our reading goal of 2,026 books - over 2,500 books were read by the PACT Elementary community this summer! Favorite books that were reported included the Unicorn Academy series by Julie Sykes and Linda Chapman, the Dogman series by Dav Pilkey, and the Wings of Fire series by Tui T. Sutherland. PACT staff seemed to enjoy Theo of Golden by Allen Levi. We are preparing for a reading celebration day in September, where we go to The Draw Amphitheater and read with our class buddies! |

Tuesday, September 8
Unlike a traditional Open House or Meet the Teacher event, Parent Information Night is designed to equip families with the information they need for a successful school year. Parents will begin with a large-group presentation in the gym to hear important school-wide announcements, learn about our priorities for the year, and receive key information about procedures and expectations. Following the gym presentation, parents will visit their child's classroom, where teachers will share classroom routines, curriculum, schedules, communication practices, and other details that will help the year run smoothly for students, families, and staff. Below is the schedule:
- 4:30–5:00 p.m. – Kindergarten & 1st Grade Parents: Large Group in the Gym
- 5:05–5:30 p.m. – Kindergarten & 1st Grade Parents: Classroom Presentations
- 5:30–6:00 p.m. – 2nd & 3rd Grade Parents: Large Group in the Gym
- 6:05–6:30 p.m. – 2nd & 3rd Grade Parents: Classroom Presentations

During the school day, PACT uses the Raptor Visitor Management System. The system allows the school to create visitor badges and electronically verify all visitors against registered sexual offender databases, as well as a PACT database of restricted or banned individuals, those with custody issues, or those under restraining orders. The primary goal is to enhance control over access to PACT, thereby improving safety for our students and staff.
All visitors, including parents, must check in at the front desk to receive a visitor badge each time they enter the building. Please be prepared to show a valid driver's license. All volunteers must report to their designated areas and not wander the building or enter spaces outside the scope of their volunteer assignment.

Students in grades 3-5 are invited to join our String Orchestra Club! Students will dive into the world of music by learning the violin, viola, cello, or double bass. Beyond developing musical skills, they will experience the thrill of performing live on stage before an audience! No prior musical background is required—just a desire to try something new, build confidence, and make music with friends.

Time: 3:30 - 4:30 p.m.

Fee: $90
Students will be renting equipment from Groth Music to participate. Interested families should email the Music Instructor, Mr. Shubrat (v.shubrat@pactcharter.org), for additional information on which instrument size is the right fit for their students.
Instrument rentals should start on October 29, 2026. Prices and additional information on the instrument lease program are available from Mr. Shubrat or by following this link to the Groth Music website. Groth Music offers a 4-month trial period (one payment for the first 121 days). Your initial payment includes maintenance coverage at no extra charge. For violin and viola, the initial payment is $40, and the monthly fee is $30. For cello, the initial payment is $65, and the monthly fee is $50. For double bass, the initial payment is $135, and the monthly fee is $85.

We are excited to welcome parents to the Secondary Campus for Parent Information Night! Students stay home while parents take over the campus. Parents will walk through their student's schedule, meet their teachers, and get a firsthand look at the curriculum and classes they will be taking this year. It is a great chance to see exactly what your student will experience this year at PACT — we can't wait to share!

The safety of our students and staff is our highest priority. As part of our ongoing security efforts, we use the Raptor Visitor Management System to track all visitors entering the building — including parents and anyone dropping off items for students.
When visiting the school:
- Enter through Door 1 (office) during school hours.
- Scan your driver's license or government-issued ID at the Raptor iPad in the vestibule.
- Front desk staff will buzz you into the office area.
- Wear your visitor badge visibly at all times while in the building.
When leaving the building:
- Return to the Raptor iPad in the vestibule.
- Select "Sign Out," scan your badge barcode, and complete the process.
Volunteers must report directly to their designated areas and should not enter spaces outside the scope of their assignment.
