PACT Receives National Award for Website Redesign

PACT Charter School has received the Award of Excellence from the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) in the 2026 National School Communication Awards. The school's website redesign was recognized as the best in the Publications and Digital Media category nationwide.
PACT’s award-winning project highlights a complete digital transformation. The school’s old website was hosted on an outdated, unreliable server that was hard to update and less secure. With only one staff member handling all communications, PACT needed a modern and sustainable platform to share its story, support enrollment, and connect with families. The new site launched in July 2025, a month ahead of schedule, and has expanded into four separate websites for the district and its Elementary, Secondary, and Online campuses.
In addition to its new look, the site is fully ADA-compliant, meets WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards, works well on all devices, and is available in several languages for families. Since the launch, enrollment interest has grown to a waitlist of over 950 students, and more families are finding information online, which has reduced daily calls and questions to the office.
“We set out to build a website that truly serves our families — one that’s clear, welcoming, and easy to navigate,” said Christine Erntson, Director of Communication and Community Engagement at PACT Charter School. “To have that work recognized at the national level is an incredible honor, and it reflects everything we hope our school stands for: character, excellence, and partnership with our community.”
This year’s winners will be honored at the Celebration of Achievement during the 2026 NSPRA National Seminar in July in New Orleans, where PACT’s award-winning website will be on display.
