We have community ed courses this summer! It's a great way to stay connected with classmates and have some fun at the same time!

Programs will run in four blocks from June 1 to July 30, except for the week of July 6.

Summer Community Education FAQ


Schedule:
Each summer course lasts two weeks and meets Monday through Thursday for one hour and 45 minutes. All classes take place at the PACT Elementary Campus.

Registration:
  • Please register for all classes using Arbiter.
  • Registration will close once a class reaches its maximum number of students.
  • Each program needs at least six students to run.
  • No more than 24 students can enroll in each class.
  • The deadline to register for all classes is June 15.

Fees:
  • Standard programs: $140 per summer course.

Fines:
To ensure the safety of all students and respect our staff’s time, we have a strict late pickup policy. Parents and guardians must pick up their children promptly at the end of each activity.
  • Late Fine: A fine will be issued for each late pickup and invoiced through your ParentSquare account.
  • Parents will be fined $25 per hour, billed in 15-minute increments ($6.25 for 15 minutes late, $12.50 for 30 minutes late).
  • The first late pick up of 15 minutes or less will result in a warning. The second will result in a fine, and the third will result in a fine and removal from the program for the remainder of the quarter.
  • If a child is removed from a program, fees will not be refunded.

Important Notes:
  • Community Education programs are not part of MSHSL-sponsored sports and do not count toward your family’s activity fee maximum.
  • Families eligible for free or reduced lunch may receive a 50% discount on one Community Education summer class by completing the Educational Benefits Form.
  • No classes will be held the week of July 6, 2026.

Art Club

Grades: K-5
Fee: $140
Schedule: Block 4 | 1:00 p.m.

Unleash your creativity in Art Club! This class gives kids the opportunity to express themselves in a fun and supportive environment. Each session will involve projects like drawing, painting, or using markers. Students work on projects, and they can take them home!

Basketball Club

Grades: 2-5
Fee: $140
Schedule: Block 2, 1:00 p.m.
Advisor: Bennett Olson, PACT Phy Ed teacher and JV Boys Basketball Coach

Dribble, pass, and shoot with PACT boys basketball coach and former college basketball player Bennett Olson. Students will learn basketball fundamentals, play games, and enjoy some friendly competition.

Board Games Club

Grades: K-5
Fee: $140

Students will enjoy a variety of board games (including chess!) and classroom games while developing strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and sportsmanship. This club offers a fun way to challenge your mind, make new friends, and enjoy friendly competition in a relaxed, engaging setting.

Builders Club

Grades: K-5

Do you enjoy building? Join us for hands-on projects that allow students to explore engineering, creativity, and problem-solving. Using LEGOs and other materials, students will design, construct, and bring their ideas to life while learning teamwork and developing a passion for building.

Craft Club

Grades: K-5

Get creative and bring ideas to life in Craft Club! This hands-on class gives students the opportunity to explore art projects and use materials like paper, glue & paint. Students will make items to take home and be proud of, along the way developing fine motor skills, creativity, and confidence in their artistic abilities!
 

Gym Class Games Club

Grades: 3-6
Fee: $140
Schedule: Block 4 | 9:00 a.m.
Advisor: Josh Moeschl, PACT Grade 5 Teacher

Just a club where students get to play all those fun games from gym class in the summer! Students will play in friendly competitive games such as dodgeball, big base, and capture the flag. It’s the perfect balance of fitness and fun!

Indoor Games Club

Grades: K-5

Get ready to move and have fun in our Indoor Games Club! This high-energy class gives students the chance to play a variety of classic and creative group games in a safe, structured environment. Each session will feature a mix of activities such as Heads Up 7 Up, Kickball, or Capture the Flag. All skill levels are welcome, looking for students who want to be active and have fun with their friends!

Intro to Sports Club

Grades: 3-6

Is your child constantly bouncing a ball in the house? Send them to Intro to Sports Club! Students will play sports like basketball, volleyball, and floor hockey in the gym with their friends in a fun, competitive environment.

Math Club

Math Club
Grades: 3-6

Build confidence and have fun with numbers in our Math Club! Students will strengthen their math skills through interactive games and puzzles in a low-pressure environment. Students will explore concepts through fun challenges and friendly competitions that make math enjoyable while using problem-solving and critical thinking skills!

Music Club

Grades: K-5
Fee: $140

Do you wish your summer were more musical? Come learn an instrument with us! Students will learn to play the ukulele and various percussion instruments. The engaging class will introduce students to the basics of rhythm, melody & musical fun - no prior musical experience needed!

Nature Club

Do you enjoy exploring outside? The Nature Club will explore the area outside PACT Elementary, learning about our local environment. From nature walks to scavenger hunts and discussions, students will engage their senses and learn about the world around them.

Outdoor Games Club

Get outside, stay active, and have fun in our Outdoor Games Club! This energetic class gives students a chance to play a wide variety of classic recess and gym-style games in a structured outdoor setting. Students will build teamwork, coordination, and sportsmanship while enjoying the fresh air!

Professional Sports Club

Grades: 3-6

Is your kid constantly talking about the NFL, NHL, or the WNBA? Do they think LeBron is better than MJ? Send them to the professional sports club to get their fix of sports stats, history, and game strategy, and learn which players really are the best!

Reading Club

Do you enjoy a good book? The Reading club will explore the PACT Elementary Media Center and offer time for students to get lost in a new adventure, story, and grow as readers. Each session will include guided reading and discussion time and will provide students with opportunities to practice comprehension, vocabulary, and critical thinking skills.

Soccer Club

Grades: 2-5

Are you interested in learning how to play soccer? Our Soccer Club will introduce you to it in a friendly, safe environment. Players will participate in drills that emphasize footwork, communication, and teamwork. This club will use the soccer field outside PACT Elementary if the weather permits; otherwise, it will be in the Elementary Gym. No prior experience necessary, come join the fun!

Strange Phenomena Club

Grades: 3-6

Are UFOs real? What are the seven wonders of the world? What’s the deal with Area 51? Students will explore these topics and more in this fun, interactive club that will deepen their understanding of history and our world!

STEM Club

Grades: 3-6
Fee: $140

Do you want to build things? This hands-on class will have students building projects and solving challenges. Each session will feature activities such as building catapults and shooting marshmallows, problem-solving tasks, and design projects. Students will work both independently and in teams to test ideas and learn how things work in the world around them!
