Looking Ahead to a Strong Finish

April 2026

Dear PACT Elementary Families,

As we move through an exciting and productive spring season, I am pleased to share highlights from the past few weeks and a look at what’s ahead for our students and staff.

Fifth Grade Wax Museum

On Friday, March 27, our PACT fifth-grade students brought history to life by transforming into their favorite historical figures for our annual Wax Museum. It was truly incredible to witness the pride our students took in their work. This project beautifully integrated speaking, listening, writing, visual presentation, historical understanding, and even elements of drama. Thank you to all who attended and supported this memorable event!

Kindergarten Preview Night

We were thrilled to welcome next year’s incoming kindergarten students and their families on Monday, March 23, officially greeting the PACT Class of 2039! Our Kindergarten team created a warm and engaging experience, giving families a wonderful introduction to what makes PACT such a special place to learn and grow.

Field Trips & Experiential Learning

It has been a busy month full of hands-on learning opportunities! Our third-grade students explored the Science Museum, while fourth-grade students visited The Works Interactive Children’s Museum. These experiences extend learning beyond the classroom and bring curriculum concepts to life in meaningful ways.

Professional Development

On March 20, our Elementary teachers spent time collaborating around our FOSS Science curriculum. This important work ensures alignment with grade-level standards and reflects our commitment to letting academic standards guide instructional decisions. I am continually impressed by our teachers’ dedication to refining their practice for the benefit of our students.

Testing Season

Preparations are underway for Spring Fastbridge Assessments, and MCA testing is already underway. We appreciate your support in ensuring students are well-rested and ready to do their best. The data gathered from these assessments plays an important role in guiding instruction, allowing teachers to adjust their approaches and better meet the individual learning needs of each student.

Quarter Four Observation Cycle

At this point in the school year, I have formally observed every teacher at least six times. In early May, I will be meeting individually with each teacher to reflect on Student Learning Goals (SLGs), 5D+ instructional growth goals, and the overall 2025–2026 academic year. This process is an important part of our continuous improvement as a learning community.

Visit from Volunteers of America

We were honored to host the CEO of our school authorizer, Volunteers of America, on March 27 and again on April 10. During these visits, we shared our school’s mission, highlighted service-learning opportunities, and showcased the many positive initiatives within our PACT community. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the impact of our students and staff.

A Little Fun – March Madness at PACT!

Our Specialist Team brought some extra excitement to March with a “March Madness” celebration! Students voted on their favorites in several categories:
  • Favorite Composer/Musician: 2Cellos
  • Favorite Book: Broken by X. Fang
  • Favorite Sport: Soccer
In addition, congratulations to our staff bracket winners for 2026: Mr. Josh Moeschl (5th Grade) and Ms. Jen Musokwa (3rd Grade)!

We are entering a meaningful stretch of the school year, filled with opportunities for students to demonstrate their growth and finish strong. Thank you for staying engaged, encouraging your child’s efforts, and partnering with us to support a positive and focused end to the year.

Warmly,

Lara Bronson, Ed.D.
