Children hold books in front of their faces, promoting summer reading.

Dear PACT Elementary Families,

We are thrilled to share some exciting news — our students have surpassed the Summer 2025 Reading Challenge goal of reading 2,025 books and have read an incredible 3,700 books in total!

To celebrate this amazing achievement, the PACT staff is planning a special "Reading Celebration" Day for our students. On Monday, September 22, classes will walk together with their class buddies to The Draw, our local amphitheater, for a joyful time of reading, games, and community fun.

Class buddies will be walking and celebrating together as follows:

  • 5th & 2nd graders

  • 4th & 1st graders

  • 3rd graders & Kindergartners

We’re so proud of the dedication our students showed this summer, and we loved seeing their excitement about reading! Some of their favorite books included:

  • Diary of a Wimpy Kid series by Jeff Kinney

  • Dog Man series by Dav Pilkey

  • Various picture books by Mo Willems

  • The Land of Stories series by Chris Colfer

  • The Babysitters Club series by Ann M. Martin & Raina Telgemeier

Beyond the Summer Reading Challenge, we're dedicated to fostering a love of reading all year at PACT! As principal, I’ve been visiting classrooms to share read-alouds with students, and I’m excited to keep this tradition going throughout the year. Each month, we celebrate student birthdays by distributing "Birthday Books," ensuring every child has a special book of their own. I’m also creating monthly videos for library time, where Mrs. Schaible shares "The Bronson Bookshelf" — a featured collection of favorite books meant to inspire curiosity and excitement about reading.

Thank you for fostering a love of reading at home — your support made this achievement possible.

With appreciation,

Dr. Lara Bronson
Elementary Principal
